Shipping Policy

Worldwide Shipping

Our bespoke doors are purchased by customers worldwide. We aim to dispatch your custom-made door as quickly as possible, and the estimated shipping timeframe will be provided at checkout. Customers will receive tracking information as soon as their order has been dispatched.

Delivery Terms

All orders are shipped to the delivery address provided at checkout. Our standard shipping service is delivery to your address. We provide ample notice of your delivery date via email and through notifications from our courier partner, so you can make arrangements to be available for delivery if needed. If you require a signed-for delivery, please contact us prior to dispatch to arrange this service for an additional cost. We cannot be held responsible for parcels that are confirmed as delivered to the correct address by the courier.

Orders Outside of the UK

The price displayed at checkout, after entering your address, excludes VAT and customs charges. Postage costs are calculated at checkout, but Local Taxes are excluded.

Please note:

Local government import taxes are not included in your purchase price.
Country VAT - You will be required to pay your local VAT percentage based on the total checkout amount.
As part of the import process, you may also be charged a small courier customs paperwork fee, in addition to VAT.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR SPANISH CUSTOMERS:

Orders shipping to Spain may experience additional delays at local customs. In recent months, customs clearance in Spain has been slower than usual, which can extend delivery lead times beyond the estimated shipping timeframe and is unfortunately outside of our control. For this reason, delivery times to Spain are currently longer than to most other European destinations. If customs processing improves in the near future, we will review and update our shipping policy and delivery timeframes accordingly.

How does this work?

The courier will liaise with your local import and customs authorities to calculate VAT and customs charges.

They may require a copy of your invoice from us to clear customs. Please be prepared to accept a call or email from the courier if needed.

Once the charges are calculated, the courier will send you an invoice via email or text with a payment link. Payment may be required either before or after delivery is completed.

Shipping to USA

For all custom-made orders (not stock in UK orders) shipped to the USA:

Our custom-made products are crafted by our team based outside of the UK.
Due to recent changes in import tariffs for shipments to the USA, the tariff rate for custom-made items differs from the UK 10% rated tariff to our stocked pre-made size products shipped from the UK.
Custom-made doors are manufactured in Hong Kong, and the applicable tariff rate may vary. For assistance in identifying which products are shipped directly from the UK, please don’t hesitate to contact us at sales@thedour.co.uk. We’re here to help!

ROLdoûr Bespoke Sizes

We ship directly from our factory in Hong Kong. For UK customers, no import fees or VAT are payable as these are covered at the time of purchase.

TAMdoûr Bespoke Sizes

We no longer offer any custom made orders for the tambour door range. We only offer the pre-made tambour door option which will be on a quicker delivery lead time.
