NETdoûr / BLINDdoûr – Step-by-Step Assembly, Fitting & Cleaning Guide
Before you start
- Your NETdoûr / BLINDdoûr arrives disassembled.
- Work on a clean, dry, flat surface to avoid scratching the frame.
- Decide which way you want the door to open/close before you begin (this affects which way round the side parts of the frame are to be fitted).
1) Identify the parts
- Top frame section: the larger frame piece with a deep channel along the top (the net/blind slots into this).
- Side frame with cartridge: one side frame has the cartridge clipped to it.
- Opposite side frame: the other side frame has a small channel running down the full length.
- Cartridge: contains the net/blind inside. If you open it slightly you’ll see the net/blind and a plastic chain-link section at the top and bottom.
- Low-profile floor strip: fits to the floor where the bottom of the net/blind slides.
2) Assemble the NETdoûr / BLINDdoûr frame
- Lay the top frame section on your flat surface.
- Take the two side frame sections (including the side with the cartridge).
- Slot both side frame sections into the top frame section until fully seated.
- Double-check the frame orientation matches the direction you want the door to open/close.
3) Install the NETdoûr / BLINDdoûr (choose a fixing method)
Step A: Position the frame and test the floor strip
- Hold the assembled frame in the exact position where it will be fitted.
- Place the low-profile floor strip on the floor underneath the section where the net/blind will slide.
- Slide the net/blind over the strip a few times to confirm the plastic chain section runs smoothly over it.
Step B: Fix the side frames in place (with top part of frame attached)
Choose one method:
- Screw fixing: screw the side frames into the wall.
- 3M tape fixing: apply strong 3M tape down the left and right side frames, then press firmly into place.
Step C: Fix the floor strip permanently
- Firstly, open the net/blind fully with the low profile strip in place to ensure that it is in the correct position and then use a pencil to draw along both sides of the strip.
- Remove the low profile strip and take off the adhesive backing from the underside.
- Press the strip firmly down into position.
- Test again that the net/blind runs smoothly across the bottom strip.
Step D: Finish the edges (optional)
- Apply caulk or silicone around the frame to create a neat finish and prevent gaps.
4) Remove the cartridge for cleaning
- Make sure the net/blind is fully open.
- Unclip the cartridge from the side frame it is attached to.
- Pull the cartridge away from the side frame and position it roughly in the centre of the frame.
- Tilt the cartridge diagonally.
- Slide it out of the top frame section.
- You can now clean the net/blind properly.
5) Refit the cartridge after cleaning
- Insert the cartridge back into the frame at the same diagonal angle.
- Slide it back into the top frame section.
- Clip the cartridge back onto the side frame.
- Open and close the net/blind to confirm smooth operation.
