ROLdoûr Outside Window Recess Measuring Guide-

Ensure a perfect fit for your ROLdoûr by following these simple steps to measure your space accurately.

Please provide the total height and total width of the outside Frame / Recess. These measurements are crucial for customising your retractable door to fit seamlessly into your space.

Step-by-Step Measuring Instructions:

Identify the Overlapping Area:

Determine the exact location where the ROLdoûr will be installed. Ensure the area is suitable for an overlapping fitting and that there is a flat surface to fix the frame to.

This will help maintain the structural integrity and ensure a secure installation.

Measure the Width: (Max 1500mm wide)

Measure the width of the recess opening at the top, middle, and bottom. Use the Largest measurement and add 46mm to your measurement for the 2 x 28mm wide side tracks

(56mm to your largest recess width for you frame overhang.)

Measure the Height: (Max 1000mm Tall)

Measure the height from the top of the recess opening to the floor / Window recess (or 15mm below if no window sill for 15mm end stop frame height.

Take measurements on both sides and in the center, using the largest measurement, and add one of these options =

Choice of Outside Recess Heights:

Cartridge Only: Add 47mm for the cartridge outside the recess.

Cartridge & Handle: Add 104mm (46mm for the cartridge + 43mm for the handle) to slide the handle away from the recess area.

Cartridge, Handle & Stop End Frame: Add 120mm (60mm for the cartridge + 45mm for the handle + 15mm for the stop end frame) to slide the handle away and position the end frame 15mm below the window recess, if there's no window sill protruding.

Check for Obstructions:

Ensure there are no obstructions that could interfere with the retractable fabric screen, such as handles or fixtures protruding out of the recess.

Choose Cartridge Option:

Select the option for the cartridge facing outwards. Ensure a flat surface to flat surface fix.

Final Check:

Double-check all measurements for accuracy and ensure the surface is suitable for mounting.

Note: The bottom door stop of the ROLdoûr will create a 15mm (1.5cm) high step. Please consider this when planning your installation to ensure it meets your accessibility needs.
